I fell ill again. Hence subbing has come to a halt since I was too tired. Instead, while moaning on my bed hoping the panadol I've taken will hurry up and work, I've updated myself with some of the Jdramas this season. I've never kept up with Jdramas in the past, because I just don't have the time during semester. I still have 2 weeks left, so I decided why not, even though I'll probably not finish them. The rest of the post will contain spoilers.
( Innocent Love )
To take full advantage of my p2p speeds, I torrented all episode 1 of the dramas this season that have been subbed according to the fansub map. There were 7 in total. I couldn't try Love Shuffle and Rescue because they weren't subbed yet. I would love to give Love Shuffle a go but I'm not sure about Rescue despite it staring Massu. I mean I've watched enough Hong Kong dramas to know what to expect of firefighter movies. I needed reasons to reduce the number of dramas, Kame & Ohno were enough for me to strike Kami no Shizuku & Uta no Onii-san of the list. And so, in alphabetical order... um.. taking into account I was sick and all, and I give up easily... lolz.
( Akai Ito )
( Arifureta Kiseki )
( Mei-chan no Shitsuji )
( Q.E.D )
( Triangle )
( Voice )
( Zeni Geba )
In conclusion, I'll carry on watching Akai Ito, Arifureta Kiseki, and Voice *rubs hands in glee*. Knowing dramas, at least one will fly of the tangent. May drop one or two as time goes, and semester starts again in 2 weeks. I won't have unlimited internet then, ahh~ time flies, holidays will soon be over...

First time watching a JDrama while it is still being aired in Japan. *I fail* Not one but three! Scrap Teacher, Ryusei no Kizuna and Innocent Love. (I should be spending my time doing better things, shouldn't I?) Have only watched till the episodes where hardsubs are out. But these are my thoughts anyway. Hopefully, I'll try make myself write another post when the series are done.
Scrap Teacher - My sister, being an avid fan of HSJ, I had to download the episodes for her hence ended up watching too. Its kind of rubbish. Yuuto and Daiki-dude are cute, sad to say the rest are annoying and the storyline is weird. As my sister likes to remind me, maybe I'm getting too old to fangirl over young (too young) boys. I still haven't understood the drama after watching 3 episodes, basically 3 students who use too much eye-shadow suddenly appear out of nowwhere to save the school from 'Scrap Teachers'.
Ryusei no Kizuna - I watched this for Nishikido Ryo. Surprise, surprise! Never had the urge to watch Last Friends so I thought this would be a good opportunity to catch Ryo in action. It's good I guess, I mean thats what everyone is saying. Good series but not my type of drama. My type of drama: slow, meaningful, less dialoge, good OST, I'll elaborate further another time. I tend to be memerised by shows that have lots of pauses, where things just happen without need for too much explaination as the storyline slowly unfolds. RnK reminds me of anime, lots of fast talking and out of the blue scenes. Nino, I like him, but not as an actor. Bash me up for saying this and no I haven't watched that Oscar movie he acted in, he acts well, but he is too.. er.. girly. Ryo's hair.. no comment. His my fav Johnny's, I have lots of negative things to say, but I rather not. I'll continue to watch this, especially as I understand the show will get darker. Maybe it'll leave me with more to talk about later.
Innocent Love - Ratings do not matter. I'd advice you not to bother about them. As with the Oricon Charts, it was the charts that got me started into JPOP, and I've realised I need to stop relying on it if I was to carry on listening to good music. Anyway, I like this drama, although apparently the viewership ratings are low. I've only watched till episode 3 but I can't wait for the next epi to be subbed unlike RnK. This drama doesn't have as good a casts, acting skills, media attention (what?) etc. etc. as RnK but I'm still hooked. Kitagawa Yujin has the loveliest smile ever. Although I'm not too keen on the Christain theme (as in I'm usually fine with it but this is getting a bit strong), the suspense is killing. The script writers are doing well to lay down important hints of the relationships between the characters without giving away too much in one go. Also, the emotions behind each character are intriguing, even though they are not superb actors, you get to see that everyone is fighting within something, something that we don't know yet.
The difference between these 3 dramas for me, are the depth of the characters. Scrap Teacher - no depth, RnK - suppose to have depth but I can't see it. How to explain? You see the personalities being potrayed on the faces and in words but they don't reach the heart. Maybe, maybe for my case, I'll always see Nino and Ryo as idols only. Innocent Love - its too early to say, but the silence helps. The character's expressions become the focus, a smile with a drop of tear, warmth accompanied by sudden coldness to indicate jelousy. No, they are not good actors, but you learn to warm to them as you try to understand their plight. There is a cloud of sadness, everyone is carrying some kind of past but everyone is trying to be happy.
