This wonderful female and male partnership 'Milk@Coffee' have received much positive reviews and attention from the general public and media since the release of their first album <<Burn! Little Universe>> in 2005.
3 years later, Milk@Coffee has since released their 2nd self-made album <<It gets lonelier as you grow up>>, shedding the bittersweet image of their first album. This time they take on a new sincere and unique approach to meet the listeners once again, by portraying the delicate feelings and the inner world of growing up in all the 10 songs of this new album, and by doing so wave goodbye to the days of youth they have left behind.
This is an album about the thoughts and friendships of growing up and the sense of lost and silence that comes with it, as well as the things you forget and lose on the way. Maybe admist it all there are still the unsaid words that have followed you as you grow up but regarding the final stop when arriving at maturity, what can we find as the perfect answer for that conclusion?
Turning back to take a look, those of us who are slowly growing up, it has become difficult to find friends who are wiling to walk with us anymore. <<It gets lonelier as you grow up>> is a sigh of helplessness coming deep from the heart and now Milk@Coffee has turned that into beautiful pieces of music, in hope that they can share with those who are going through the same experiences. When I heard this album, I instantly thought 'wow, finally a good album after a long while from the chinese song industry'. It was very disappointing that they didn't have any good albums or songs over the new year. Many of the current chinese artists are not up to the mark anyway, even if they had albums :) It was great to finally hear some good mandarin music. I was lucky that the japanese side of things had good songs for me to rely on in the mean time.
Not sure which songs to try out first or if this album will be your cup of tea? Track 6 has an oriental style to it, my fav song in this album. Track 2, 9 and 10 are highly recommanded too! Also, all these songs have meaningful lyrics. I hope to translate a few when I'm free. Hope you will enjoy this album as I did.

The guy is Ge Fei and the girl is Kiki (Fu Yan). There's a very short write-up here. Other then that, it's been difficult to find much about them. They've had another album before this one though.
